Kate and I are Paris people

Kate and I just returned from an 8 day trip to London and Paris. There are some places you visit, explore, and then happily return home. And then there are places you fall in love with, and leaving is hard to do.

Despite the fact that I was born in London, and that I don’t speak a word of French, Paris is one of those cities that I didn’t want to part with. Paris has all the best elements of New York City, with an added layer of culture and history.

We loved the food, wine, cheese, transporation system, and how walkable the city is.

We loved the culture. There were cafes on every block. You didn’t need to order specific wine, the house wine was great. Where’s a good place to eat? Everywhere. You can’t go wrong.

We had some great dinners: L’atelier De Joel Robuchon, Les Cocottes, Thoumieux, and L’ardoise. Also confirmed that the best croissants are at Pierre Herme (and we tried plenty!). Thanks to all our friends for the recommendations.

Many, many more pictures to come.
