A night out in Central Square

On Saturday night Kate and I had dinner at Central Kitchen. Monika recommended it to us and it was amazing! The restaurant is beautiful. We had a plate of goat cheese for appetizer. Kate had a great piece of halibut. And I had steak frites. The plate was huge. It was on of the best steaks I’ve ever had. It was perfectly cooked rare/medium rare but still hot all the way through. There was almost no fat on the meat and it was soft and juicy. Yum.

For dessert we had a fallen Belgian chocolate cake. It takes 25 minutes to make so we had to ordered it when our entrees arrived. Wow. It was steaming hot and all melted in the middle. Possibly the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had.

Highly recommended.

  1. haha. i don’t know if i’ve been unlucky or what, but this was thefirst good meal out i’ve had since moving here. Lots of bad placesunfortunately

  2. $4 for two slices? I think $4 barely gets me the greasy paper plate the pizza sits on here in NY.** blatant exageration

  3. If I use an asterisk at the start of a line of text here, does it automatically turn it into a bullet point?* Bullet 1* Bullet 2* Bullet 3Hmmm.. interesting

  4. Mmmh… "central kitchen".. hearing these two words makes me both hungry and nostalgic! You should give a try to the Enormous Room upstairs, too.As for cheap pizzas, Hi-Fi, across the street from Central Kitchen and the Middle East, has large and yummy slices for $2.25… hard to beat =)
