I sell a lot of stuff on eBay so there's no way I can stop using them. But they are a monopoly and I feel really take advantage of this by raising fees and providing very poor customer service. eBay takes 3 or 4 days to respond to email, which makes it worthless since an auction can be less than that.

An auction I had going last week was shut down because I used a picture from the manufacturer's website. Klipsch speakers pays NetEnforcer.com to monitor ebay and other websites to make sure no one uses their pictures and material. Is it really that big of a deal? I'm just selling used speakers, come on! And eBay just killed my auction so I have to re-think and re-type the whole thing I again.

Another auction ended and the winner was a bid from South Korea, even though my auction clearly stated in 3 places that I would only ship to the US. Now I have to jump through a few hoops before I can get a refund and relist the item. Why does the ebay system even let these people bid on items that say US only?

I received a payment for another auction and PayPal tried to deduct their 3% fee without really telling me why. I'm not sure what's going on but now I saw they have a policy where an ebay auction *must* accept credit card payments, which personal accounts can't do. You aren't allowed to say "checking account payments only." So if you have a personal account and you get a credit card payment, you *must* upgrade it to a premier account.

So greedy. At the end of the day ebay is taking 10% of the money I get which I guess isn't horrible, but it does suck since the customer service is so bad. And I feel there should be some consolidation of fees since ebay owns paypal, but they still want to take your money on both transactions.

At the end of the day, I'd pay for it if it was good service. But it's not. And that sucks. I guess I just hate companies that cut corners on quality. I'd rather pay more for the best service out there. eBay and Paypal fall into the same class as Dell who just care to make the cheapest, crappiest thing out there and worry more about their bottom line than actually creating the best product they can.

The world would be a better place is Apple made digital cameras, ran an online auction and payment website, and had its own airline.
